Firewall:
The firewall is adequate to protect your direct Internet connection, a home network, office network or even a wireless network. The Personal Wireless Network Monitor will find people who tap into your wireless network to take advantage of your Internet connection.

PC–cillin’s firewall hasn’t been tested by ICSA or W.C.L. and there is no indication that it monitors ports or network traffic. Furthermore, we couldn’t find that it offers data filtering.

Antivirus:
PC–cillin’s antivirus function past rigorous tests and is certified by ICSA, VB 100% and W.C.L. levels 1 & 2.

You are able to scan your entire machine with the click of a button, or you can set a scheduled scan.

Antispyware:
PC–cillin has a Suspicious Software Alarm System. This system will detect suspicious behavior frequently associated with spyware.

Other Security/Features:
This suite has a customizable web filter; you can choose what will and won’t be displayed on your screen. Just a few of the categories you can block are Adult, Gambling, Crime, Violence, Games, Chat/Instant Messaging, Peer–to–Peer, Job Search and Shopping/Auctions.

You can also block specific sites and approve sites.

PC–cillin Internet Security has phishing alerts and checks websites each time you visit. We encountered some discrepancies with this function. When we visited TopTenREVIEWS.com, it said it was an adware site. We know this isn’t true. We visited the site later and the software said the site was safe.

Ease of Use:
Each function on the control panel has a short description so you know exactly what it does.

Within the control panel, you can choose the basic settings or make detailed selections making this a good program for people who want to install it and leave it and for those who want to customize the features and settings.

Ease of Installation/Setup:
There seemed to be some glitches when we first installed the program; however, after the initial setup, it worked smoothly.

Help/Support:
Trend Micro offers tutorials, a user guide and FAQs. If you need further assistance, you can contact customer support by email or online chat.

Summary:
PC–cillin offers complete antivirus and antispyware protection. For the same price, you can get an Internet security suite that also includes a strong firewall.
